Nvidia driver problem
Hi all!
Ive had my computer for about 5 months and last month it started acting wierd. When i tried to start it, i would see quick glimpses of the boot-up process like the loading screen of XP and so on. But these were only flashes. Then complete blackness. After about 20 restarts the computer would boot up normally. But the day after that it would be the same. Naturally I grew tired of repeating this process every day, so I formated my computer and then did everything except install the nvidia drivers, and it worked fine.. no probs with booting. What could be the problem? I have nvidia 7300gs btw. I hope you folks can help me, I really need this.

what NVIDIA driver are you installing?
EDIT: What is it with people who ask for help then disappear offline when you ask them a question, that's the second time today

By the sounds of it, you had a corrupt driver preventing windows from being displayed properly.
If you have formatted your PC and haven't installed the drivers, you could be using your PC on your on board VGA (If available) OR it's using a generic Gfx card driver for your card.
You could visit http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
And click on
Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products. PRERELEASE
This will then direct you to the right drivers for your Nvidia card
Get the latest video drivers for your Nvidia 7300gs and make a system restore point before installing them, so should your display act up again, you could try booting to safe mode for a simple, system restore.

Thanks for the replys. But you dont seem to undertstand my problem. The problem appeared after the computer worked without problems for about 5 months, its not like I installed the drivers and messed up. I am also not dumb, you dont have to link to Nvidias page, thats obviously where I get my drivers.. I really have no clue what it could be. I mean, it worked, and then stopped working..

First of all, nobody has called you "dumb" so don't jump to that conclusion.
And if I'm not mistaken, you said your PC worked for 5 months, and then LAST Month, started to act "weird"
You formatted your PC, so therefore you don't have any drivers as you've clearly SAID.

If your Pc is now working, what's the problem? I've already said it seems you could have had a driver problem.
So unless you want better help, then I suggest that you re-phrase your problem in a more suitable way that people can read it, and not go around the houses to end up back at square 1 by saying:

If you can explain in FULL, what the problem is, then people have more of a chance of helping, rather than sitting here, twiddling our thumbs and offering different advice which clearly you didn't need.

What are your pc specs?? OS etc, give us some more information to play with, I mean you still haven't said which driver you're trying to install.
