I can't get sound from the OUT jack

I have sound on the built in speakers but from the out jack nothing is going out may be this is a hardware problem because everything else is fine how can I check any way there is the belarc report

Try looking here:

Control Panel (classic view)->Sounds & Audio Devices.

Cliick the 'Audio' tab

In 'Sound Playback' at the top, click 'Advanced'

In 'Speaker Setup' use drop-down arrow to change from 'laptop speakers' to an external speaker setup such as "Desktop Stereo Speakers", then click 'OK'-->'OK'.
