Unhappy Display Adapter

I have a ThinkPad 770X, model 95497AU, PII, 8 gig, 320 meg running NTFS in Win XP Pro with a Trident 3D Cyber 9397DVD display adapter. (first, let me say that I'm not a techy).
I made use of the dual display capabilities of Win 98SE extensively but eventually upgraded to XP because "Crash-O-Matic 98" was driving me absolutely crazy. Since upgrading (18 months) XP hasn't crashed once. I did however, loose the dual monitor feature. After 12 months I did a reformat back to 98 but crashing became the way of life again so after 3 days I went back to XP once more.
Does anyone know of an updated display adapter that will facilitate dual monitor on a ThinkPad running XP? My son has the dual capability on his Toshiba running the same release of XP and IBM says that it will appear on future editions of XP but that hasn't happened. If anyone can shed some light on the matter or provide a location where I can obtain a driver that will work I would be dually grateful.

I just recently saw a article on dual moniters in one of my magazines. I will try to find it when I get off work.
