hi i just reinstalled but i did not have all the cd`s that come with it i have updated nearly all but i do not have any sound

Still not giving the motherboard, do you know the make and model, look over the tower for a label, or Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.

I likewise reformatted my C:\ drive and now have no sound. The computer does not seem to recognize that it has a Sound device (on Motherboard).
