The problem is with the VGA compatible video driver is missing..
I don't know what happened but one morning when I turned on the comp I got the alert by the 'Unknown Hardware Update Wizard trying to install Video Controller VGA compatible ' popping up ..ok I followed it but then it couldn't finish coz it couldn't find the driver on my system..I think it was kinda deleted or malfunctioned.But I found the vga.sys file in the location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers but when I try to locate it by browsing the hardware or driver install wizard doesn't install it..it just can't find it still..
When I try to download the VGA driver from the ati.amd.com my system refuses to install the driver saying ' INF file doesn't contain information about this system's hardware' or when i try to install ATI graphics driver it asks for the VGA video driver and when I try to install VGA driver it refuses because of the absence of INF file..
I uninstalled the whole ATI graphics driver and soft so now I completely out of any kind of graphics driver or software.. My browsers up and down graphics is terrible ..I have to wait extra 4-5 seconds after I actually move the mouse ..it is very slow and sluggish.. i gotta install all of those Intel INF file to be able to install VGA compatible driver.. and then ATI Catalyst Suite for ATI Graphics Driver .. I have got the bunch of VGA drivers and Graphics drivers but the problem is that I don't know how to deal with missing ' INF file ' problem...
where could I get this INF file and where should I locate it into my system?
