help no sound

hi been having the same problem with the multimedia audio controller
i just reformated to xp pro with sp2 i tried downloading the drivers from the sony site but they are not compatible with xp because prior to reformating i use to have media center addition

heres the info

Under Everything tab, install drivers in this order

Motherboard - Intel Chipset - install then restart your comp

Sony Shared Library

audio, there is an original driver and and updated one,

Set a System Restore Point before installing each driver just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions
