Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

ehhhh. it still says somethign about the device not installed? what other info do i need to give you?

Check this out to see if Realtek is default audiio

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on
down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

i checked it and it said no playback device...

need more info Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section

Open Everest - expand Computer - select Summary - select Report - Quick Report - HTML . The report opens, using mouse hold the left button and starting at all above Debug-PCI - highlight all the text - when highlighted right lick mouse - select Copy.

Get your audio driver here from Albatron, suspect it's Via AC'97 http://www.albatron.com.tw/English/p...k=Driver&no=56

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case

thanks heaps for that!!! it works kinda, i mean its installed and it looks like it works, get no errors, media player is playing like it should, but i cant hear anything.. Im guessing it could be a hardware problem then.. cause i can tell the driver worked.. thanks for that tho
