I have a similar problem to some of the other threads posted, I just recently cleaned my pc & reinstalled windows xp to find that I have no sound, I figured out that its something to do with a thing called the multimedia audio controller & that I have no driver for it. I've downloaded the supposed driver I need from hp.com but when I try to install it & I get to the step where it asks where I want to save the files, it says "unable to create the specified output file" and doesn't let me carry on the installation.
