That Intel board has Realtek AC'97 onboard audio go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...tDown=false#AC

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install

The site is slow

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

check this
Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on
down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

everything's greyed out in sounds and audio devices properties...

under the audio tab,
sound playback > default device > no playback devices (greyed out)

sound recording > default device > no recording devices (greyed out)

midi music playback > default device > no midi playback devices (greyed out)

under volume tab,

no audio device
and then device volume and speaker settings greyed out

still dowloading the driver as suggested by you earlier... as u sd, the site is indeed slow.

thnks once again

Check this out

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot.

Are your audio plugs on the I/O plate or in a expansion slot, see here, click image to focus
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0io%20slot.JPG

Can you post an Everest report
Open Everest - expand Computer - select Summary - select Report - Quick Report - HTML . The report opens, using mouse hold the left button and starting at all above Debug-PCI - highlight all the text - when highlighted right lick mouse - select Copy.
