Please Help

A couple days ago i reformatted my computer and i had no sound...i tried finding the driver automaticly for Multimedia Audio Controler but my computer said it cant be found, i cant play music, or do anything with my sound...when i go to the sound options its just all grayed out... Please help A.S.A.P
