Graphics Adapter problem

I am having Acer Aspire 5040 laptop with AMD turion and Windows XP installed. My problem is whenever I shutdown and switch back on I find my graphics adapter not getting the driver. But have installed ATI driver recommended by Acer site which will also not open. Only solution is to disable the adapter and enabling it again and then changing the setting of the ATI catalyst control centre. but when I again switch off the same problem comes up and I need to follow the whole procedure again. Please help!!!!!!!!!!
