CD/DVD Drive not working. Please help me!!

I was copying music into iTunes, and I put a disc in and nothing happened. I went into My Computer and selected the drive and still nothing happened. I assumed there was something wrong with the disc, but later, I tried another disc and the same thing happened. I'm not really sure what to do. When I go to Device Manager, and select the device, it says the device is working properly and the driver is new and up to date. I'm running Windows Vista, but the computer has always been running it, it's not a new upgrade. The drive doesn't work for CDs or DVDs, and when I try to open it using 'My Computer', it says the drive is empty. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
