Oooooh yeah.

Okay. This computer's about to get chucked. ^_^

Updated to SP2.
Downloaded all the updates. Took a while.
Downloaded the sound driver. Got sound now.

And NOW. ^_^
I start my computer up this morning, after it's been cleaned up and defragged and all that jazz, and it's running oddly slow.

Nothing's running, nothing's open, but the CPU Usage is pinging 100 percent the entire time it's running. It says SYSTEM is using 100%, and it won't come down. At all.

I couldn't have done anything to cause this. Soooooo thanks for the help, but I'm just gonna go buy another computer.
S'pose I'm not as computer-friendly as I thought. LoL

go into the bios and where it says onboard audio instead of leaving it at auto detect set it to enable then go on your computer and go to the add new hardware wizard and do not search windows update tell it to search for hardware automatically it should find the software on the motherboard
