go here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filt...4&submit=Go%21

first install No:2 - Chipset - then Restart your comp
second No:4 - Video
third No:5 - Audio

these will only work if your video and audio sockets are on the I/O plate as shown here - click image to focus
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0io%20slot.JPG

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start/ All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a
Restore point and follow instructions

Intel Motherboard drivers problems

Hi
Please see the posts above.
As informed, I downloaded and installed both audio and video drivers and were working fine. But now I have the following problems with audio drivers:

1. Under control panel -> sounds and audio devices->volume,
I find the remark "No audio device" and as such there is no volume icon in the task bar. I am not able to go to "master volume " and adjust playback and recording properties.
2. Soundmax instals player also. Can this be avoided.

Ofcourse, my first priority is for (1) above.
Kindly help me
Thanks

have you checked Control panel, is there a Sound manager that relates to Soundmax, you may need to go into the Soundmax player and adjust sound there

Intel Motherboard- No Audio Device

Hi,

I followed the instructions provided above. I created a restore point, downloaded the chipset (option 2) and then restarted the comp. I then downloaded the video device and the audio device.

A week back we had reformatted the system and downloaded SP2. Now there is no audio. The system shows that the sound card is working fine, however when I click on the sound setting, it says no audio device found.

Even after following the links I get the same error. While installing the audio driver, I get the error: "No device found. Please reboot your computer and try again".

The mother board is that of Intel.
The sound card is: Yamaha

Please help.

Intel Motherboard- No Audio Device

Hi Anthony,

I checked out the site. There are only pdf files that I can see. What should I do?

And yes, my system is downloading PCI drivers again and again. I have disabled it today after download.

I am not really good with technical things.

Please let me know how to go on about it.

Thanks,

Annie
