First Step, for up-dating my drivers?

Okay so whats the first step when attempting to up-date my drivers??

I have Driver Detective, which reports 6 out-of-date drivers. But I would like to get them free, if at all possible.

TY.

First step is to uninstall Driver detective! I used it once and misreported what I actually had on my system.
Next step is to download SIW and post the hardware results.

Hey Monty, Thankyou for your time.
(Note: Before posting this THREAD, I was successfully able to update my VIDEO card drivers) My reason for doing this, besides the obvious, is to eliminate this as a cause for my BSOD. It almost always happens, when watching youtube videos,(15-45min) but has even happened a few times when on desktop) Still happened after video driver update. Not a hardware conflict.

I no longer get BSOD. Computer will just re-boot.

After eliminating Drivers as a possible cause, I plan on attempting a Memtest.

Update

In Reference to the Random Re-boots.

Just recently Ive Installed a Second Air-conditioner(window unit) in my Bedroom. Anytime I turn off, Then on, one of the Two Air-conditioners, Im always disconnected from the Internet. In addition to this, I have many thingd plugged into my Surge-protecter.

I was wondering if this could possibly be the cause of random re-boots, Especially if I try to watch you tube videos???

If I re-call correctly, this started happening about the same time.

Well I tried turning off both ACs, while playing a youtube video but unfortunately the computer still re-booted.

One thing I would like to ask, when your PC reboots is it a similar time e.g. conected for 20 minutes then it reboots?

I've been looking for time and pattern Intervals. So far, I have'nt seen anything definitive, but I'll try to be a little more observant.

Only once or twice has it re-booted while NOT watching a youtube video. It seems if Ive been online for a long time(or if i leave computer idling) then I go to try to watch a video(it may) immediately re-boot.

In General it only re-boots on youtube.

Note: Theres a couple custom up-dates (2or3) thats optional, but i dont see this as a culprit.(havent installed yet)

Note: My Monitor sits very close to my computer, and if I turn it a certain way, the Monitor will turn off. When I turn it back, it will come back on, but the screen shakes violently for a few seconds, before it becomes stable.(possible culprit) Will try a diff. monitor)

If you could just help me with the drivers, that would be much appreciated.

If you want to help a little more, thats fine to. Ill send you a 25$ or 30$ donation, for your time.
