Help with sound please

Hello there.

The sound on my computer stopped working after reformatting it a while back. It's frustrating as i've followed many googled solutions of fixing identical problems to no avail. I have tried installing the sound driver both from the Recovery CD as well from the RealTek site but no joy!

When I go to Control Panel->Sound & Audio Devices it says "No Audio Device" & all the options are greyed out. The volume control isn't available in the taskbar either.

Here is a screenshot from my device manager with the sound devices.

I pasted an Everest report at the end, if there is any other info you need please tell me. Thanks!

I managed to fix it following a post by Barbara in another sound problem thread.

On-board Sound in the BIOS had somehow been disabled.

Step 7 incase anyone else with a similar problem wanders in here.
