Intel(r) 82845 G/GL System Device Drivers

Last week I decided to put the original OS back on my PC because it was running slowly. So I backed most of my important files to a External Harddrive then went on with the procedure. While it was putting the original files back on the PC, an error came up about the audio drivers and it gave me the option to retry. So I clicked retry about 2-3 times and nothing so I decided to skip it. There was another error about drivers too but I don't think it was for sound.

Soon after I took out the disc and seen that it had a crack in it. This made me alittle worried. But I figured if it worked with a crack, then it should be fine.

So I decided to place the Drivers disc in the PC so I could download all of the "drivers" off of it. So when I came to the option of the "SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio Driver" it tells me to put in the OS system disc. Well I do that and it started to spin very fast then the disc started to make cracking noises. Bottom line, the crack got worse and now a piece of the disk is missing.

So now I'm stuck with no sound system D:

I have Windows XP HOME. The OS Disc I believe is Ver. 2002, SP 1.

I'm not sure what program I can use to post up my hardware settings so please suggest me one and I'll put them up A-SAP!

Thank you!!

Ugh still nothing. I tried the first link and followed the steps in the walkthrough.

Everything was fine til it asked for the file "wdmaud". I downloaded this file online so I have it on my Pc. I clicked ok then it asked for the file again and I did the same thing. When it ended there was an error and it said that it had a problem installing.

Here's what I get for the first part:

Then I tried the 2nd link and I basicly got this:

And I restarted the Pc and same thing!
