Unhappy No sound after format to 2000

Hello,

I have downloaded Everest and looked into it and found that my sound adapter is "Cirrus Logic CS4614/22/24 CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator". I've tried to find it everywhere online and I can't find the driver. This has happened to me before on this computer. I formatted my computer into the OS 2000 and I think I found it before but it was like 5 or 6 months ago. I searched the sound forum, I found 1 or 2 threads that was talking about CS but I couldn't understand them... It was working before I formatted it but now it doesn't. Thx

It's a used computer so theirs no telling whats in it, lol and its pretty old... back when 98 was still going around lol

I never heard of Trigem Florida but thats the type of motherboard I have and what all on it... It looks like the same one but I know little about the inner workings of a computer, lol. Will you look at it for me, if you have a membership at driverguide which you probably do

Just out of morbid curiousity,is this an E-Machine?

First thing I don't play around with the BIOS unless I have no other options.
You can lose a lot of motherboards like that.

I found the 400 series chipset drivers from intel for your 440 series motherboard.

Try them out the download is infinst_enu.exe--->GoHere

lol... yes this is an E-Machine. I know an E-Machine isn't that great but it was my step-moms mom's computer. I would like a customized computer but right now I don't have the money lol

I'll tell you if it worked or not later, right now I have to do something... Thx

I don't get it, when I went to install the intel chipset software it said "The Curect operating system supports the Intel chipset devices on your system. No INF update is needed." And it just stopped.

If the PCI Simple Communications Controller is the modem driver, I don't need it anyways cause I have ethernet, right?

Thumbs up

No ,you would still need the modem driver installed but, could just disable it
in the control panel hardware. You could take the PCI modem out of the computer and use it for a paper weight. That would probably solve your problem.

Look I only have a Dell Optiplex GX110 I paid $50.00 for it is fine for everything but, gaming.

I hope you stay here with us.You seem to be a good member.
