Please Help Me-Error Code C00D11BA from WMP, how can I fix it to play sounds?
I have been trying to listen and play music with no success. I get the error in the subject, I click on web information and get the C00D11BA error. I have tried searching this code to get help to fix it and I'm only more confused because every place I have gone to tells you to do something different and I have no idea what sound chip is, where it is what I have, nothing. I want to install/reinstall whatever I need to be able to play music on WMP. That is all I want to know, what steps I need to go about to restore this. I have gone into tools on WMP, options, devices and anything they told me to do I did and no success. I've been told to install software drivers and go into control panel under hardware, how am I gonna know what I need to install from there? I have no idea about it. I have gone into my sounds and audio devices from control panel and the window that pops up, the volume tab, I can't click on anything in there, it won't allow me to. Anyways, I have gone and tried my best to figure this out and correct it, I'm usually good about searching and getting the help I need to fix it on my own but I can't, I'm beyond confused. I had gone to Belarc Advisor and I'm still confused because 8 things are missing and I see REINSTALL and none of them seem to look as if they would help with the sound. And when I click details, I have no idea where to click to install anything. It's very confusing for me. Can anybody please help me? This is my last resort, I have asked in yahoo answers and no one is helpful.
*I also when I started my computer up got a window saying Found New Hardware saying this wizard helps you install software for: Multimedia Audio Controller, I'm assuming this has something to do with the issue? And I can't go any farther because I don't know enough on where to look for hardware or how to get it back. It gives me the option to install automatically but it doesn't do anything, just does the magnify glass forever.
