8738/C3DX PCI 4ch Audio card No sound :(

actually half a year ago i had it working without problems, i think i dled drivers from cmedia website but now they have disabled theyre dl section.
now i discovered i had no sound.i found a few spider webs and a small spider walking on its chip.
i tried installing 6.39 and 6.44 drivers they were ~2.5mb files but still no sound
anything else i can try?
Oh yeah, it detects the card nicely after i uninstall drivers and with drivers it is listed properly in device manager with no yellow exclamation marks.

heh well earlier i had it in front out and it didnt work.with 6.44 i it was in rear out and didnt work but in front out it now does
