Multimedia Audio Controller issues

I was just wondering if anybody with a slight computer knowledge might be able to help me. Now, I am not saying that I don't know anything about computers (I just fixed a complete corruption of a Vista kernel, .NET framework destruction and a nvlddmkm.sys death), but I really ran into a wall with this problem.

To start off, I'll link to a picture of my computer's specs, as per EVEREST:

Now, here is my issue. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card, but it effectively is disabled until I can get my Multimedia Audio Controller (MAC) functional, as it needs a new driver. Simple, except I don't know who made my MAC and if it is connected to my sound card in any way. I am not sure, as I am not sure if the computer also has a chipset related to the issue.

DirectX Diagnostics also has no help on the issue, as my sound card basically disappeared from existence:

I checked my device manager, and saw that a peculiar question mark is next to the MAC, meaning that it needs an update and won't work until then. Nothing I didn't know. That said, the auto-updater won't work unless I have the disc that came with it (I am pretty sure that I don't) or if I have the driver on my computer already (most certainly not).

So, I am not even sure of where to start. Well, I did start and just got thrown into a few loops.

Other information:

PSN-E SLI ACPI Revision motherboard
ASUS PSN-E
EVGA video card manufacturer for nVidia (useless information)

Any help or ideas?

"Multimedia Audio Controller" and your SoundBlaster Audigy SE card are the same thing, but because no driver is installed for it Windows simply refers to it by it's generic device type. The driver tells Windows what make & model it is.

When you install the driver, the "Multimedia Audio Controller" item in Device Manager will automatically change to "Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE" and without the question mark.

It's driver for Vista & XP is here: http://support.creative.com/Products...=Sound+Blaster
