RAdeon X600 Card does not work with Samsung 2253 BW monitor anymore
I have been using a xp pro with a radeon 600 video card and a samsung 2253bw monitor (widescreen 1680 x 1050)
Now my problem is yesterday the video card seemingly stopped working properly and now xp does not recognize it and defaults to a vga video card and does not the radeon 600 card. sometimes it uses the radeon cadr but as soon as i try and install the samsung drivers it goes into a black screen with no image and i have to restart. Also at times when i update the driver the system boots properly until the windows xp screen when it suddenly goes black and I am unable to do anything until i restart in safe mode.
As for the resolution i cannot select the 1680 x 1050 60 herz which the monitor is runs at. All i can get is 1280 x 1020
how can i fix this? so its stable and i can get the right resolution for the monitor...specs for the machine are below
