Reformated now no sound

Reformated now no sound

I wiped my computer and now I can't hear anything. I tried finding the driver for my Sound Blaster Audigy but it keeps saying the card is not plugged in, but it is. It worked before the wipe. Now im just trying to get my motherboard sound to work but thats failing as well. Please help me.

check this
Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

I downloaded the second one for my onboard and its still not working. Everything is plugged in correctly and everything. I made sure its using the device.

check this from HP about disabling onboard sound in the BIOS
