Question Can't use cd-rw\dvd-rom simultaneously

I have a three way pin but both my drives work as slave drives and if i connect both then none of them works please give me some suggestions.

Slave works on the middle connector. Master is for the end connector. To use both as Master or slave simultaneously will confuse the controller.
Master on the end, slave in the middle. Or set both as CS (cable detect) they will sort themselves out.
If you wish to use them for on the fly copying, it is wise to put them on different channels. Not set in stone, but It can save hassles.
