Smile Needed Help.. No sounds..

Hi im vince... im having prbolem with my sound device. i lost my motherboard driver and i reformated my pc. i didnt know which sounds will i download... tnx...

i hope someone can help me...

from what I can find it's the C-Media CMI8738 go here for this driver for XP/2000
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/drivers.html

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

im hapy that you can help me... i did what uve said and it says pls plug in audio device device.. whats the meaning of that? im so sorry coz im a computer dumb =)

it's difficult as the board is not shown at MSI, can you look for a label on the comp, that shows the make and model, nothing at LG.

i cant see it my brother told me before that this computer can use realtek audio.. rtl 8139 5.398.613.2003 he said he use the updated version.. but all can he remember is the updated year which is 2007.

this is the Realtek audio driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Click I Accept – wait for site to reload – click Next

Download the (Executable) file – save to desktop – double click downloaded file and follow installation instructions.

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
