AC'97 Audio drivers wont install

Hi need a little help. I have just installed a fresh copy of XP pro on to a friends desktop. Apart from the aduio every thing is fine.

[PCI / PnP Audio ]
Intel 82801FB ICH6 - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-1]

I have downloaded the drives using Robot driver.
Gone to Dell website and down loaded them from there for this model of computer also downloaded them from Real teck but nothing works.
I uninstall the drivers in device manager restart and atempt to load the new drivers but with no joy.

The dell drivers stops instaling half way through " drivers not found restart computer and start again"
The Realteck Ac'97 crashes the computer every time I try to install it it gets to about 98% and then crashes.

I'm havign real trouble with this one I have done this plenty of times before and never experianced difficulties like this.

Ok below are the system details thanks for you help.

It works ... I put here my solution in case there's someone with my problem ... But, before you do anything go to control panel and go to Add/Remove programs and delete all types of sound drivers you have to install everything from 0.

The big problem there is that for Windows Xp SP3 the fantastic Microsoft engineers have forgot to create the patch for the "UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio Driver" and without that you can not install the sound driver of your sound card, thank god I spent some time reading forums with this problem and I realized that there is an older version that we can install WinXP SP3 called sp32646.exe.So, installed it and then go to Device Manager and go to the device for your audio and click with the right click and go to update driver and install the following driver "SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio 5.12.01.5430.

Thats it !!! After that restart and you will love the windows startup annoying sound.

Greetings and thanks!! I hope it help someone, because all the other problems I read help me solve this puzzle!!
