no sound from xp

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me with a sound issue. I recently reinstalled win xp home sp3, everything is fine except for the complete lack of system sound. I have looked through the posts on this site and have done as most others and downloaded belarc to get my system profile, this is pasted to this post. Can anyone give me any tips as to where to go from here. Thanks Zanneth
