Help with Emachines sound drivers

My computer crashed a few months ago, and it originally had xp media center installed on it, but i just reinstalled windows XP Home Edition .

ever since reinstalling windows The sound hasnt worked.
I went to control panel and it said i had no audio device
So i went to the emachines site and downloaded the audio driver they said was for my model. and i cant get it to install i keep get error codes

when i try to run the setup it says "Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again"

but no matter how many times i restart, it gives me the same error message.

Ive never posted here, but i notice alot of people download belarc and ran that. so heres mine.

checked emachine site and it's confusing, that Intel board has Realtek High Definition audio and look at this site, Brink post 38, same machine but realtek audio, see here http://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio/...version-4.html

look at this site for audio driver
http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/...ownloads.shtml

Set a System Restore Point before installing any drivers just in case

Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions
