My apology for that.

@topic

I already downloaded and installed the audio/sound card. And it prompted me to restart, when It back to windows, i tried to play a sound but to no avail. i checked the sound and devices in the control panel, and it says my audio/sound is working fine or properly. there's no problem in that, the only problem is, there is still no sounds playing eventhough i already max out the volume and it is unmuted. any other ideas how to resolved this?

add-on:

I already tried setting my audio in the bios in either auto or enabled but still to no avail.

check this to see if Soundmax is default audio

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device

and this

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot

if still no audio install the Intel chipset driver - Restart your comp - then install audio driver again

Yes! SoundMax is the default Audio. and that was the only option, no more other devices when I click the drop down list box. there's no "modem line 0 playback".

regarding the other one, the windows audio service, its startup is already in Automatic. Its not either Disabled or Manual.

afterall, i still reboot my pc. and still, no sounds.

add-on:

my last OS is a Windows Xp SP3 dark edition "Version6", when my pc was got infected by a virus/worm, i reformated my hard disk, since I lost my copy of my last os, i use XP Home Edition and downloaded the "Version7" of my last OS. I reboot, reformat again, and installed it. I am expecting it has the same Driver Pack like version 6 since it is the latest one, but i was tricked. no audio. for now, i'm downloading the "Version6" of my last OS, but it still has 5 hours more to go. Anyways, I'm still doing my best to have my audio back, since, "Version7" has many best good features than the older one.

go back to fujitsu ( it's the D1520 board )and install the Intel Chipset - then Restart your comp

and install the audio driver this way - use the If No Setup File method

Create a folder for what you are downloading

Example: Audio
Then download the zipped file to that folder

Then download and install Winzip
Go to the folder and right click and click Winzip extract to here

That will automatically make a folder and unzip files to it (make a note of file path)

Then go to folder and click on Setup file and follow instructions displayed for installation

If no Setup file

1. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
2. Right-click the the yellow flagged device ( or audio device Realtek, Soundmax C-Media etc ) and choose Update Driver
3. In Windows XP SP2, the Update Wizard will prompt to connect to the Windows Update
4. Select "No, not this time" and click Next
5. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.
6. Select "Search for the best driver in theses locations" and check "Include this location in the search"
7. Click Browse and select the location of downloaded driver
8. Click OK and click Next
9. Wait while the Wizard installs the software
10. Click Finish.

Set a System Restore Point before installing any drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions
