Audio driver not installed - how to find it?
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and see that Bookworm and others have provided very helpful responses to other similar problems, so hopefully you can help me too!
With assistance, I've just completed doing a reformat of my hard drive and reinstall of Windows XP. I had problems with several drivers, but have gotten them all resolved except the audio - under device manager, Multimedia Audio Controller shows: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) - when I click on Reinstall, the wizard says it won't install the hardware because it cannot find the necessary software.
I also had a problem where my display resolution slidebar wouldn't move past the lowest resolution. I've downloaded something that has reduced the display to a more manageable size, but still it will allow the resolution to be at either 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 - nothing in between. This is more minor, but thought I'd ask about this as well.
