where are the colors?

help...just reformatted hdd and installed win95 on celeron system with shared video memory. when clicking on display properties, the only two choices shown are monochrome or 16 colors...what gives???just got this pc but it supposedly worked ok before...

You have to install the drivers for your graphics card

Still you have to install the drivers from the motherboard CD. (It is manual in 95 and 98)

got this pc w/o that apparently vital plastic disc...any suggestions..?

Ask the person / shop from where you bought the computer, about the display drivers

What kind of motherboard is it?

You may be able to find the video drivers on that manufacturers website.
