Unhappy Logitech Freescan Scanner

Logitech Freescan Scanner

Does anyone have a driver for this ancient, but is seems indispensable, scanner. I have a friend (honestly) who is trying to find a driver for windows 98 edition for this item. I know Logitech sold their scanner division on but when searching the net, including drivers.com to no avail I have found that there are many people in the same position?

I think I can help you out

If you are using up to Win98 operating system the 95 install disk that comes with the machine will work-drivers and all

I have a copy of this and will happily burn a copy if needed

Quite simply because of the way the drivers communicate with the board, it will not work on NT or any platform which was born out of that stable - this includes Windows ME,2000 and XP - all of which were NT based.

It's a real shame cos the scanner itself is a really good bit off kit but I also have the same problem as I have migrated to XP.

Just have to spend out on a flatbed scanner and a new shelf to stick it on!

I have the program for the Logitech Freescan, however I just purchased a new computer with Windows XP Proffessional, I was installing it and found to notice that the Logitech driver is not compatible with Windows XP. While researching found out that logitech no longer makes scanners. Does anyone know where I can get a driver for the Freescan for Windows XP. anyhelp will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there,
I have the CD with the driver for the logitech freescan scanner.
I can email it for free to anyone needing this driver (only for win9x but some say it will work with vmware under other OSs).
Cheers
