Driver Updates: Ultimate All-in-one Site/program

Obviously check the windows update site first (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) and if you can't be bothered gathering hardware info then...

http://www.driverguide.com/

According to website:

"Our database has 100,000+ drivers, with several hundred added daily...that is by far the largest and most comprehensive on the Web ".

Click on 'Member Login'

Username: driver
P@ssword: all

(same login everyone gets when they join free)

However, if you can't be bothered searching manually, they have an automated program:

DriverGuide Toolkit (http://www.driverguidetoolkit.com/)

"DriverGuide Toolkit identifies and lists drivers installed on your computer and, when connected to the Internet, allows you to search DriverGuide.com (and other sources) for driver updates and manufacturer sites. In addition, it allows you to backup your currently installed drivers for safe keeping. Backing up your Windows driver files means that they will be available to you the next time you need to reinstall the driver or the whole operating system. DriverGuide Toolkit places the driver files in one organized location of your choosing.

DriverGuide Toolkit is especially helpful in situations where you have a computer in your possession and the internal hardware is unknown. DriverGuide Toolkit can identify the hardware on the system and the associated drivers, back them up to a specified location, and find the latest driver updates for them. DriverGude Toolkit is even network compatible - you can just as easily connect to a remote computer on your network, backup drivers, and find updates!

Here's what it does:

1. It backs up your current drivers for safe keeping - this is very important in case your new driver doesn't work.
2. It identifies the real manufacturer of your device, and your device ID - this is essential information in order to find the right driver.
3. It searches driverguide.com (and other sources) to find the best drivers available.
4. It provides many, many other useful features.
5. It is totally FREE to try for 2 days".

Program (v1.03):

The 2 day trial should allow enough time to do what needs to be done with it. Convenience with a capital C
