"Can not move Install.exe. Access is denied"

Hi!

I just recently downloaded a driver for my CD-ROM drive from

(MagicSpin 56x CD-ROM Driver).

I downloaded the .exe file onto my desktop. After installing the driver, I couldn't move the file off my desktop! It gave me a message: "Can not move Install.exe. Access is denied". How do I move this thing to a different location?

Even worst,
It wouldn't let me delete the file either: "Can not delete Install.exe. Access is denied"!!!

How will I get this off my comp?

If you are using Win 9X, Win 2k or Win XP reboot into safe mode and try again.

For Linux, Mac or NT 3x or 4, sorry no idea.

lol this should be easy..

press ctrl+alt+delete and open task manager. go to the processes tab. find the process that is related to install.exe and if its running in that tab, click it and then click end process.


the process SHOULD be the driver's EXE name, or if you want to remove install.exe it should be called install.exe in the processes menu. find the process and end it in order to do anything with it.

if you dont find the file in this processes menu thingy, then i dont know what to tell ya.
