Scumware

It seems to me that Viruses, Trojans, Spyware and Adware and other 'Scumware' are taking up a hell of a lot of posts especially in the Operating System Forums.

How about a new forum just for Scumware with the first post a 'Sticky' giving info about and links for the most popular (sic) crap that is doing the rounds?

i had about the same idea a while back, decided not to say anything because the way the forum is setup now when they post we usually know the operating system they are running just by the catagory it is posted in. most people dont bother to list a windows version when they post, and most of the time they are not really sure if it is scumware/malware of some form. i agree, if there was a virus/scumware forum and people would actually read the sticky before posting it could be alot easier to provide removal tools and repair options.

Agreed with both of you.. but one thing we have to consider is: if a user knows they have virus or scumware then they will try to find a fix for it themselves... problem is most people don't know what is causing the malfunction in their computer and they don't what to admit done something stupid. So basically if lack of experience would force new users to post their question in wrong place.
