Slow

This site is way too slow. Is it bogged down by popups and ads? I'm on cable. I feel sorry for those on dialup. I do not have a problem with other sites. It is almost too frustrating to visit here anymore and I've been coming here for 3 years. Anyone else having a problem or is it me?

Have you noticed the slowdown in just the last week or so? I'm wondering if it has something to do with what PTO said about seeing a lot of attacks (Pg 2, 4th post down). http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com...pagenu mber=2
I was experiencing a huge slowdown on this site (I have dial-up). One night, the computer was just about frozen, so I reinstalled XP. Also, when I am here, my NetWaiting gives me false calls. When I pick up the phone, no one is there. My ISP said that he has never heard of such a thing. Also, the search function on this forum isn't working properly for me anymore.

64 Kbps DSL. Forum loads fast.

Pop-under is limited to two / 24 hours.

Search is working fine.

You're right...Search is fine. I tried the Search Engine rather then Quick Search and found what I was looking for.

Sorry...False alarm.

I see "0" adds and "0" pop ups running Norton 2004 internet security. It's almost boring at times not seeing anything! LOL!
I'm on cable (supposedly one of the faster ones [residential] in North America.

This site actually loads pretty fast... considering I am on dial-up (yep, still live in the boonies) and that there are a few other forums that have some pretty intricate flash headers that take 4 lifetimes to load.

I installed Netwaiting 3 months ago, I am now receving false calls, sometimes 3 times a day. I've asked other computer users for an explanation. To date no one can answer or explain what is going on.
