Are there really 120 viewing?

I think not. The other day i was on the XP forum where apparently 120 people were viewing. Today there are apparently 70. Why is my thread still on the first page with only one reply?

Answer, your "visitor" values are fake. Please fix this.

Your thread will still be on the first page because there have not been a lot of new posts made in the XP forum since yours was replied to.
The visitor values are not fake at all!
Sites like this get a lot of traffic from people looking for solutions to their computer problems. Add to this the massive amount of web crawling 'bots' from Google/MSN/Yahoo etc, and you get an awful lot of visitors coming and going.

This site is also on Microsoft's recommended website page. There are various stages/tests to get on this page.
Do you think Microsoft are going to add a site that 'doctors' it's viewing figures?
I don't think so!

Many guests. Included in those will be search bots, spiders, people here from google searches etc.
The actual number of real people will be lower.
If the site was accessable to registered users only and no spiders the figure would drop. Quite a lot probably.
