Time is off

I am in the US in the Eastern Time Zone. In order for the time to be correct I had to pick the Atlantic Time Zone. Is this 1 hr off cause of Daylight Saving Time? Or, are the time zones off?

what do you mean, during installation ? is your BIOS clock correct ?

I think Chuck is referring to the forum. My time (Central Standard Time) was off by two hours until Daylight Savings Time ended. Now it's only off by one hour.

All very confusing especially because the clock at the bottom of this thread is showing GMT but is in fact wrong.

Check GMT for the proper time as invented by us Brits

You're right, the forum clock is off. I live in the -5 eastern timezone and had to set my preferences to -4 to show correct forum time.

I just enlisted here and noticed that I am posting this question 7-8 minutes before I've written it? Is the forum clock at the bottom of the page wrong or something.

I'm not referring to different time zones; the time @ that link eg GMT+1 is the same time that my computer's clock says.
BUT, the clock on this forum now reads 9 minutes ahead of that.
It was 7 to 8 minutes yesterday.
