Getting Fed Up With Ad Posts

I have commented on this before -- posters who send nothing but blatant ads to sell stuff -- someone calling himself 'dave504' is currently very active. There must be something you can do -- surely it's in breach of the forum rules? After all, if someone persisted in posting foul language you would ban them -- so why not ban ad posters too? They are misusing the forum and it should not be tolerated.

I feel so strongly about this that If it continues into next month I will leave the forum -- there are other forums out there which don't tolerate such abuse.

You mean "James504". Yeah, it's getting bad. I can hardly believe what I'm seeing here, the other forums I visit will issue instant, permanent bans for that sort of thing. IMHO, it's a capital offense, so off with his head.

Can't find user "dave504".

I ban 2-3 people daily, but they register again and again, with different email accounts.

I can't ban their IP address, it will block many innocent visitors.

BTW, its exactly the way they spam GMail / Hotmail / Yahoo mail-boxes. Even large companys can't do much.
