annoying popup

It started yesterday [August 28, 2006], I get annoying pop-up when I visit this forum......What's going on...I thought I was supposed to get two pop-ups after I log in......but after five minutes on being here I get 4 more, this is getting to be two much

I got 6 in past 5 minutes .......again and again........I tried to ALT-F4 close it and accidentally I closed on of the posts I was working on for 20 minutes :

I'm still trying to find out.

I can think of 2 reasons which is causing this:

1. Advertiser has put additional pop-up on his landing page which is not allowed.

2. Something in your computer is deleting the cookie which records (same method used by MSN / Yahoo etc...) the number of pop-up's viewed.

Yes I'm checking all advertisements manually.

Removed a pop-up ad which was causing 2 more to pop-up. Will check again today.

yeah i was a bit, kinda sick of all the lamers with the "ZOMG, no sound" threads so when i saw some fresh stuff I had a look, only to find the threads were being reserrected from the past
