Strange email

I just recieved a very strange email from this forum with a link to a Rushian web site is this a normal thing from this forum?

Just a little concerned here.

Can't find this post, it looks as if it may have been an advert and the Tool has deleted it, also the user is not listed as a member again the Tool must have banned him, if you have a concern send a message to the Tool. You can check about a member by clicking their name and looking at the profile, if not sure about a link report it to the Tool. Top right near post number ! click to report a post

Judgement is a little premature perhaps? The internet is made of people from all over the world. I visit some russian sites and am a member of one. I peruse chinese sites occassionally, blogs I don't understand. Nothing bad about about them just because they are "foreign".

Hmmm. The poster gave you a link to a download hosted on a russian sharing site. Nothing wrong with that. He offered his help.
The problem arises if the target was an illicit download. You don't know that though, so I think you are being a little harsh.
My opinion only.

They have not come back and are not a member now this says to me they were doing it out of either devilment or a deliberate attempt at spamming.

Yes, as The Tool pointed out, the user spammed a bit, but no real harm done eh?
Remember, it takes all sorts.
