Lost post... Again!

If i take to long on a post, by researching etc, when I come to post it, I am prompted for my login. No problem there, but the post is lost and none recoverable.
It's getting annoying, to put it politely.
Can the auto logoff be extended please?

There is no auto logoff time limit set. Using "Remember Me?" option during login might help.

I never use "remember me" on any site.

Looks like cookie expiry due to none activity.
It only occurs if I stop moving around here for some time. like when I leave a thread to search for some info. I come back, enter the result, submit.... Login screen.
It only happens here.

I've taken to copying the post before submitting now, but It's not the answer.
