I have a problem with a Game

I have a problem playing a game (GTAIII) Grand theft auto 3. When I try to play it, Everything looks good on the presentation, but in the start menu instead of letters on the options i see a thick line. also the mouse icon is a big black square and when I play the game tha graphics are Very low quality.

If anyone knows the solution to this please tell me... THX

There is a know problem with this game and Win XP and there is a Microsoft download to correct it. I can't recall the description but if you search the Microsoft Help Site you should be able to find it.

That's right... I know for sure there is a patch because everyone I know that has that game is currently running it on XP. Search Microsoft's Knowledge Base and/or check the GTA website for the patch.

I had the same problem.You have to d/l sp1 for xp.
