you can get the NES emulator and download an RPG rom like Final Fantasy 1! Just a thought.

Emulators work ok, and roms are usually free and work really good. trick is being legal, the emulators dont really matter, the roms are only legal if you have a orriginal disk or game cartridge........most people dont seem to pay attention to the law, but should be mentioned so you know.

Has a good number of servers and people playing it although I dont like it IMO.

I could suggest some MMORP's:

R.O.S.E. Online (I play) = Great game free but will be P2P later.
MU Online = Same as above
Runescape (mentioned before)
Guild wars (buy the game and nothing more to pay)

Outwar

Outwar is getting too complicated for most people.

My site, FutureRP is not "simple", but its easy to understand, and quite addictive. Its worth a look if you like Free Browser-Based Text-Based RPGs.

Im looking for a few decent opinions, if you have one, id be very gratefull.

I dont want insults
