Itching to game

I haven't been in the gaming loop for way too long.
School and life kinda put it in the backseat, but i'm
trying to get back into it.
I'm looking for a console though, don't really like to
fuss around with computers and graphics/memory/sound
issues. I was really hoping that the next generation ps3
would be out but unfortunately the xbox 360 is what is
coming out first...
My question is it worth it to buy it or just buy a ps2 for
the moment? i've heard some issues with the xbox 360,
can't quite remember but i'd much rather get my hands
on a ps3 than xbox 360. So what do you people think?
get a ps2 for the moment and wait till next fall or get
an xbox 360?

well it depends if your big on the money thing go for the ps3 or the revolution and wait. If not, go for the xbox 360.
