Solar Winds, by Epic Megagames c. 1993

I'm having trouble getting an old game called "Solar Winds" to work properly on my computer. I have a rather new Windows XP. The game was designed for DOS, and I've heard it'd run better if run in DOS. I know that usually it goes to DOS automatically for these old games, but I was wondering, is it possible to restart a Windows XP in MS-DOS mode?

Of course, any other tips or ideas on how to get this to run would be more than welcome.

Nevermind

On the advice of a friend, I got DOSBox at http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1

The game ran perfectly and was a lot of fun.

Which brings me to another question, is there an option in this forum to mark a topic as "solved"? If so, how?

Hi, try to right click on the short cut and select compatibility mode.
