Age of Mythology HELP!! Needed

When playing for the first time i got in some problem. The game is installed and running properly. When playing in single player mode (the campaign 'Fall of Trident'), in the fifth game 'Just Enogh Rope' I don't know what to do. The starting instrucion is to save 'Ajax' but my players are not fighting with the pirates. Neither I found the instruction on how to proceed further when 'Ajax' cannot be saved because my army is not fighting and if I take them into battlefield they are slaughtered by pirates. Though (using cheats) I killed all the pirates and razed all of their building (even walls) and nothing red is left on the map I am not victorious and the game donot proceed to next level. Even the cheat 'THRILL OF VICTORY' which is meant for instant victory is not working. Does anybody has an answer please?
