I'm not too savvy on hardware damn right but i know we'd have to know your full set up before anyone could really give a true opinion

List your specs and what your expecting from them and I'm sure someone will be able to give you some advice

More RAM is always good. Faster RAM is just as good. More fast RAM is the best!

it depends what kind of games. But 2gb ram is only good if you multitask alot. But a games are built to work with what you've got (except video cards).

Yes 2gig will be better, if you can afford it, do it. Less page file usage = better gameplay

I'd advise against buying an additionnal 2 gig RAM. I already found a benchmarking test with The Sims 2 I think, and they compared the same machine with 1 gig RAM and 2 gig RAM. The 1 Gig RAM was actually faster than the 2 gig RAM, and it was supposedly the same type of RAM.

Right now if I were you, I wouldn't upgrade anything. Don't waste your money .

PS: I saw this test on http://hardware.gamespot.com/ . I cannot find the exact page right now though.

I would recomend it, if you have enough money.

Some games these days are needing 2GB RAM to play smoothly. Aparently Battlefield 2 is one of those games.

Yes, you could run them with 1GB nicely, but 2 GB will be better. Plus games in the future will need more RAM.

not many games now require more than 1GB or ram but eventually the games will be multi-threaded which would give dual core cpu the advantage than single cores.

1gb is good enough for now. but to have a game run smoothly relies on the cpu and video card.

i personally have 2gb. it really doens't make much difference
