you will be very lucky to find a key on the net that would work for multiplayer, bearing in mind that evey key usually comes from an original copy before...and if that copy has been used online, then you will most probably be unable to use in in more than one instance.

If you find the game that good, they why not go out and buy it?
I admit that I to obtain burnt game copies sometimes, but if the game is really that good, then I usually go and buy it.....having an original copy is much better.

Failing that, with the amount of shite games out there at the moment, the best thing to do is to buy your games from a shop which let you return it within a certain time, for any reason, that way if you install a game and it does not live up to the hype, you are not stuck with it....which may then put you off buying original s/w in the future, and puch you towards getting copies instead.

I agree that game prices are too high (and are getting higher), but in the long run, large scale copying is only going to make things worse.

Now if all games companies released new games at 15-20 quid each instead of 35-40, how many people would by new? -I know I would!!!!...and you know that?, the chances are that these companies would actually see thrit total profits rise as a result, but do you think any company wants to be the first to stick their necks out and try that?, when they can just sit in the crowd of overpriced games.....enough said

another way of finding a key that probablly isnt in use is to download and use a peer 2 peer sharing program (like kazaa) and do a search for a c and c generals keygen. these use formulas that will generate good keys that arent in use. and if it ever does become in use, u can generate another one. Although let me make it clear that i do not condone these actions, as u have probablly already read the ula that came with the game, and are breaking every rule there is, u software pirate u.

I have to admit it, I pirate games a lot, but I mostly just do it with games to "rent" them. I admit I do keep them if I like them and never buy it, but why waste the money?

In the pirating world, pirating online games is near impossible. There are programs that claim to be able to do it, but it is just too hard. You would have to trick the server using some type of loader program that edits outgoing or incoming packets from/to the server so that it looks like it is valid. This is basically how most online game CD key protection works:

-Your computer sends the key to the server
-the server authenticates it
-the server sends back the response, which the program is coded to respond to

So, if you crack the incoming packets to look like a correct CD key was authenticated then your gold. Unfortunately, I know very little about programming, so I couldn't even begin to make something like this. I understand about packet capturing and editing and probably could create an authenticated packet out of a bad one, but I couldn't make it into a crack.

Well, if I were you I'd go out and buy it. I would just buy online games.... save your pirating for single-player games. There are tons of single player games that you can pirate. Multiplayer games are just too tough. The developers can do some seriously good protection there.
