Lose internet connection when i play cs

hi

dont know if this is the right forum for this but

when i play cs, and ONLY cs via Steam , my internet connection drops and i have to restart my router. anyone know anything about it ?

i can have downloads on 24-7, downing at like 350kb , my inet stayes fine. but the second i start playing cs, my inet connection drops

anyone know anything about this ? or anywhere i should go to find out / anyone i should talk to ? couldnt find an email adress for Valve concerning this problem

make sure you have the TCP and UDP ports open. go to steam support service and look for it. if you have a router you need to have them ports open cause router has a built in firewall. also check to see if your connection is stable. how are you being connected to internet? wireless? wired? what the mbps on your router?
